What is a Catalogue Raisonné?

A catalogue raisonné is a published compendium of an artist’s complete works, or a defined subset of them. Some publications list each work with a title and a basic description of its physical properties, such as medium and dimensions. Others go further, documenting provenance, exhibition, and bibliographic histories for as many works as possible. Learn more here.

At Hope and Feathers, we now offer catalogue raisonné production and bespoke bookmaking. Design and layout happen in-house, guided by our expert printmaker, Melissa. Unlike ordering a book online, we’re with you at every step of the process, from concept to finished book.

Pages are printed in-house on an archival paper of your choosing. Books are bound off-site by Lisa Hersey of Antler Editions in Easthampton, MA.
