Pricing options
Custom framing can feel overwhelming. All those choices: frame profiles, mat colors, glass types, mounting options — and a price tag that’s hard to predict before you walk in the door. We get it. We’ve made it our goal to make the whole thing feel easy, so you leave with something you love.
Omakase
Omakase (ō-mä`kä-sā) is a Japanese word meaning “I’ll leave it to you” — it’s the idea of trusting someone with expertise to make the decisions for you. In Japanese restaurants, it means the chef chooses the meal. At Hope & Feathers, it means we choose the frame.
Here’s how it works: you bring in your piece, tell us roughly what you’d like to spend and whether you prefer wood, metal, or a painted frame, and we take it from there. We select the molding and mat board from our in-stock options, customized for your piece. No back-and-forth, no decision fatigue — just a beautifully framed result designed by people who do this every day.
Omakase framing typically saves 25–30% compared to our standard custom framing pricing, making it a great option if you want expert results at a lower price point. It’s best suited for smaller pieces — maximum dimensions are 16″ × 20″.
Not sure if Omakase is right for your project? That’s completely fine—we’re happy to walk you through both options when you come in.
