See some of our customers frequently asked questions below.

What height should I hang my frame?

When deciding at what height you should hang your newly framed piece, think about where you plan on viewing it most. If you are hanging art in a kitchen and plan on viewing your piece while you are seated at a table you will want to hang it lower than if you were hanging it in a hallway or a space you would mostly view it standing up.  A general rule for most work is that it can be hung around 62 inches from the floor. You may want to adjust the height depending on the size and style of the artwork.

What hanger should I use to hang my frame?

With every piece we frame, we include complimentary hangers and bumpons. These are attached to the wire on the back of your frame. The hanging system we provide is selected for your specific piece. We decide what your art needs based on its size, weight, and how you would like to hang it. Please let us know if you are hanging your frame on a non-traditional surface like brick, tile or plaster. We are happy to make recommendations for specialized hangers.

Did you get hangers that have no wire?

Those are wall buddies! They are great for large work because they hold the art level and tight to the wall and distribute the weight of the frame contents evenly throughout the frame. There are instructions and hangers on the back but here is a video to help you! How to install Wall Buddies

Be careful when choosing the perfect spot for your art:

A warning about heat, dirt, and moisture. Hanging art in harsh environments can harm your art, even if it is framed properly. Hanging art over a fireplace, wood stove, in a bathroom, or on a three-season porch, can all have negative impacts. Please get in touch with us if you have concerns about where you are hanging your work.

How to clean your glass and frame:

Avoid using ammonia-based cleaners. A simple microfiber cloth is best. We use rubbing alcohol if the smudge isn’t responding. Acrylic can be dusted or you can purchase acrylic cleaner here.

What days does Hopper work?

Hopper is in the shop most days but like The Carpenters, rainy days and Mondays really get him down, so he stays home.
