Hope & Feathers Framing and Printing is looking for a full-time custom picture framer!

If you know a v-nail from a hoffman wedge and are excited by the idea of getting a perfect join then you might be a great candidate! We are a small team of creative, art loving framers with a passion for working together to grow loyal customers.

This position requires a minimum of 1 year of professional framing experience. Please review the following listing and consider a position at Hope & Feathers Framing in Northampton, MA.

Responsibilities

– Utilize frame skills to prepare art for framing, including hinging and mounting, frame building and installing art.

– Assist customers with design choices providing recommendations and excellent customer service

– Operate POS system at order intake, order tracking and inventory management.

– Collaborate with the team to ensure orders are fulfilled to specifications and on time.

Qualified framing candidates should possess the following:

-Experience working with framing equipment, including joiners, CMC’s, saws, mounting press, etc.

-Ability to work alone without supervision or oversight

-Art handling experience

-Willingness to learn new skills and problem solve

-Willingness to turn out exceptional work at a steady pace.

-Ability to perform some physical duties – lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for entire shift.

Additionally valuable skills

-Knowledge of common types of art

-1-2 years of experience in retail and/ or sales environment

-Computer Skills- experience with POS software and Proficiency with Adobe suite
