July’s Framing Project of the Month

Antique Frames – in a Frame!

We were excited to create this shadowbox frame that showcases seven framed portraits of family members. Our customer wanted to preserve the original antique frames and this design allows them to hang together beatifully.

July’s Framing Project of the Month

Scout’s Memorial Shadowbox

We were asked to incorporate a small tuft of fur, a paw print, and a wooden cut out into one frame design. We used Scouts green eyes as inspiration to make this a one of a kind shadowbox for a one of a kind friend.

Inspired by the quiet beauty of Skinner Mountain and the shimmering Connecticut River, Maggie Hodge’s paintings reflect an emotional connection to the natural landscapes of this region. From sunlight filtering through the trees to the subtle sparkle of water, Maggie tries to capture not just the visual essence of these scenes but the feelings they evoke.
Through expressive color, depth, and movement, her work invites viewers into a rich, immersive experience that celebrates the serenity and energy of the outdoors.
 
 
About Maggie Hodges:
Maggie’s passion for the arts began in childhood and continued to grow throughout her life. In high school, she studied drawing, printmaking, and calligraphy, eventually earning a BFA with a concentration in Graphic Design. Her professional career began with design roles at Hasbro and Spalding Sports, followed by a venture in designing and selling children’s clothing. In recent years, Maggie has developed a deep interest in painting, particularly en plein air. She regularly participates in plein air events and is an active member of the Amherst Plein Air Society.
